HB-Therm Thermo-6 wins special sustainability award
The premiere of the competition Kunststoff Magazin Products of the Year 2023 resulted in a resounding success for HB-Therm and the new Thermo-6 generation of devices. The new temperature control units were awarded the special prize for sustainability. The award is especially meaningful given the fact that more than 6,000 online readers, mainly industry professionals, cast their votes in the competition.
On March 09, the prizes were handed over in Haar near Munich. In the summer of 2022, readers and companies from the plastics industry were invited for the first time by the trade magazine to submit suggestions for a product of the year 2023. At the end of 2022, Kunststoff Magazin then presented forty nominees, from which readers were asked to select the winners.
Thermo-6 is special award winner
On behalf of HB-Therm, Albrecht Weipert, CEO of the subsidiary from Siegburg, accepted the special award for sustainability. According to Kunststoff Magazin,"... the new Series 6 generation of units ... has been further developed in terms of technology, standard features, energy efficiency and scope of warranty. A speed-controlled pump is integrated as standard. The Energy-Control assistant ensures a consistently optimal operating point. The units operate at up to 100 degrees Celsius with a new, Direct-Drive sealless pump. This result in up to 85 percent less power consumption."
The award is further proof that the plastics industry also recognises and appreciates the fact that HB-Therm's Thermo-6 temperature control units are resource-saving in the long term. This is an area where HB-Therm has invested a great deal of development work in its latest units. According to HB-Therm's product manager, Roland Huber, a long-lasting unit is a crucial contribution to sustainability. HB-Therm has always focused on quality and durability, and is the only temperature control unit manufacturer to prove it with a lifetime warranty on the core components of the heater and flow meter. The variable speed pumps in temperature control units not only reflect the company’s ecological commitment to save energy, but also have a positive effect on the service life of the pump.
