Thermo-6: New size 62 for Fakuma
Last year, the new size 62 Thermo-6 made its debut at Fakuma 2023. With this significant step, HB-Therm has expanded its range and offered its customers even more efficient and powerful solutions for their temperature control applications. Just one year later, at Fakuma 2024, the company will present an additional expansion of this performance level as planned.
Further development: Expansion of the extended product group
What fundamentally distinguishes the new size 62 Thermo‑6 models from their predecessors are their outstanding performance features. The new size has been designed to gradually replace the highly successful Thermo‑5 units of size 2 and size 3 in the near future thanks to their extended performance and temperature range.
The expansion includes the new radial pumps with the internal configuration designation 6P and 6R. These differ in the temperature range with the aim of always achieving the best possible efficiency for each unit type. For example, the ‘Direct-Drive’ pump 6P for applications up to 100 °C can achieve even higher energy efficiency of the temperature control units by avoiding eddy current losses. They impress with flow rates that would only have been possible with the Thermo‑5 if size 3 had been used. The pump technology, optimised in close partnership with Speck, impresses with its size/performance ratio. Despite its compact dimensions, it delivers three times as much as a conventional pump of its size.
Extensive research and development work has led to innovative solutions and remarkable advances that offer customers improved efficiency and superior performance in a wide range of applications. The Thermo‑6 units in size 62 are not only characterised by outstanding technological innovations, but also set new standards in terms of energy efficiency. They are among the most energy-efficient temperature control units on the market and help customers to sustainably optimise energy consumption in production processes.
Not forgetting software assistants such as Energy-Control, which help the operator to use the particularly powerful pump correctly and optimally in order to always ensure the best possible production efficiency and manufacturing reliability in every process.
In addition, the units are of course of high-quality design and equipped with unique unit technology that specifically minimises wear wherever it occurs. This makes a decisive contribution to sustainability, as a longer service life of the units saves resources and grey energy.
