Flow-6 – the Highlight of K 2025
HB-Therm is using K 2025 in Düsseldorf to add a significant new product to its successful Series 6: with Flow-6, the Swiss family-owned company is launching a new product group on the market that includes flow meters and flow controllers. This is a logical addition to the portfolio and adds another solution for precision and process reliability.
Flow-6: Precision through ultrasonic
Flow-6 is available in autonomous versions with 4, 6 and 8 circuits. The measuring system is based on ultrasonic technology, which is characterised by its high accuracy - even at very small flow rates from 0.4 L/min. The measuring range of 0.4 to 40 L/min enables flexible use for a wide variety of requirements. Backed by 20 years of experience in ultrasonic flow rate measurement, HB-Therm offers a lifetime guarantee on the measuring sections.
Compact design for maximum integration
A special feature of Flow-6 is the extremely compact dimensions of the unit. With a Width of only 240 mm and a Depth of 165 mm, Flow-6 can be integrated directly into injection moulding machines. Height varies depending on the model: 264 mm (4 circuits), 364 mm (6 circuits) and 484 mm (8 circuits). Versions for water up to 100, 160 and 180 °C are available. Each circuit is monitored individually, deviations are recognised immediately and potential quality problems are reliably prevented.
Availability and control system
The flow meters will be available from June 2026, while the flow rate controllers - which of course also include the measurement function - are expected to follow in January 2027.
Operation and control of Flow-6 is carried out via OPC UA with the Interface Server Gate-6, which is equipped with a display for this purpose. This means that Gate-6 can also be used as a remote control for the Thermo-6 temperature control units in future - which opens up numerous advantages in terms of command.
Expansion of the Thermo-6 series
Alongside the introduction of Flow-6, HB-Therm is also expanding the Thermo-6 temperature control units series. More compact, speed-controlled pumps up to 65 L/min are now available for 180 °C water units. Various models with 32 kW Heating Capacity will also be added from June 2026.
The Units impress with their high efficiency, which pays for itself in the first few years of operation, as well as their quality, which is documented by the Lifetime warranty on heater and flow meter, among other things - and all this at an attractive price-performance ratio.
